You'll focus on architecting and building new systems as well as improving existing ones for a platform that supports millions of users globally. You'll have the autonomy to shape technical solutions, influence architectural decisions, and own services throughout their lifecycle.\n\nWHAT YOU'LL DO\n\n- Design, build, and maintain backend infrastructure, APIs, and services at scale.\n\n- Own the architecture and implementation of distributed systems behind high-volume, low-latency APIs.\n\n- Solve hard scalability, latency, and performance problems in live production systems.\n\n- Lead system design discussions and shape the direction of our backend architecture.\n\n- Set the best practices for backend development—throughput, reliability, and latency.\n\n- Validate performance through automated testing, benchmarking, and production-driven improvements.\n\n- Trace production issues across services and the full stack, and ship fixes that durably improve reliability.\n\nWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR\n\n- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.\n\n- BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.\n\n- Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining core backend components\n\n- Ability to solve complex design, scalability, latency, or performance problems in high-throughput, low-latency production systems.\n\n- Production experience with Java, Rust\n\n- Experience in cloud-native environments, particularly AWS.\n\n- Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS is a plus.\n\n- Comfortable working across the stack, with a willingness to dive into infrastructure and platform challenges when the problem calls for it.\n\n- Experience building highly available and scalable distributed systems.\n\n- You're a self-starter who takes ownership, moves fast, and knows when to obsess over the details—and when it's time to ship.\n\n- Curiosity about emerging technologies and a desire to continuously learn and explore new ideas.\n\n- Web3 experience, a plus\n\n- Founded a company or built side projects, a plus\n\n- Experience in startups, a plus\n\nBENEFITS & PERKS\n\n🏥 Private Health Insurance\n\n💪 Gym Reimbursement\n\n🌴 Flexible Time Off\n\n🥙 In-Office Group Meals\n\n🧠 Learning & Development Stipend\n\n🌎 Company Sponsored Conferences & Events\n\n🎧 Books & Audiobook subscription with Bookster https://landing.bookster.ro/","url":"https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/alchemy/e9114029-c645-44f8-8f7e-9b718c10ad94"}
