As an Applied AI Agent Engineer intern, you will take on a hands-on builder role at the intersection of LLMs and production systems, working alongside full-time engineers on agent workflows, tool integrations, backend services, and AI system architecture from day one.\nThis is not a shadowing role. You will own deliverables, run experiments, and ship code that matters.\n\nWhat You'll Do\n\n- Support the design and development of AI agent workflows and LLM-powered application components\n\n- Build and test prompt strategies, retrieval flows, tool-use logic, orchestration patterns, and backend integrations\n\n- Assist in defining evaluation metrics, running benchmarks, and analyzing failure cases\n\n- Improve system performance across quality, latency, reliability, safety, and cost\n\n- Use AI coding tools as a normal part of your workflow to accelerate development and problem-solving\n\n- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to understand how production AI systems are designed, deployed, and improved\n\n- Contribute to backend services, APIs, internal tools, or lightweight user interfaces when needed\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n\n- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field\n\n- Expected graduation in 2026 or 2027\n\n- Solid programming skills in Python or Java; familiarity with backend engineering is preferred\n\n- Good problem-solving ability and comfort working with APIs, debugging, and data\n\n- Strong curiosity about LLMs, AI agents, automation, and real-world system design\n\n- Ability to break down ambiguous problems and move from idea to working prototype\n\n- Comfortable learning quickly and working in a fast-moving environment\n\n- Available for a 6-month full-time commitment\n\nBonus Points\n\n- Personal projects or coursework involving LLM applications, agent systems, automation, or AI-assisted development\n\n- Familiarity with OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, Hugging Face, LangChain, vector databases, or workflow tools\n\n- Experience with Git, databases, backend services, or cloud platforms\n\nWhat Makes You a Fit for Tech Seeds 2026\n\nYou are curious, proactive, and builder-minded.
