{"active":true,"apply_url":"https://flix.careers/job/8432987002?gh_jid=8432987002","company":{"claimed":false,"name":"Flix","slug":"flix","website":"https://www.flix.com"},"countries":["PL"],"employment_type":null,"first_seen_at":"2026-10-31T08:45:09Z","getwork_url":"https://getwork.dev/jobs/gh-flix-8432987002/","id":"gh-flix-8432987002","injection_flag":false,"last_seen_at":"2026-11-03T09:30:10Z","location":"Warsaw; Poland","published_at":"2026-10-28T12:46:23Z","regions":["europe"],"remote":"onsite","role_family":"infra","salary":null,"seniority":"unspecified","stack":["terraform","aws","linux"],"stack_mentioned":[],"title":"DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer","untrusted_description":"90 – 119 PLN/hour (B2B)\n\nWe are looking for a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer for service agreement collaboration (B2B contract) to cooperate with a team that connects Flix's cloud platform with the new train fleet.\n\nThis is a contractor engagement for a DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure professional who wants to work on impactful, hands-on challenges with real technical depth and a lot of cross-company collaboration.\n\nScope of Services\n\nYou will help shape an architecture from the start, make sure it is secure and reliable, and take it all the way to production.\n\nAbout the Engagement\n\n- Design, build and operate the cloud infrastructure that connects onboard train systems with Flix's backend services, covering telemetry ingestion, alerting, video streams and remote content delivery\n\n- Build and maintain the infrastructure-as-code foundation of the platform, keeping the Terraform/Terragrunt codebase clean, scalable and easy for others to work with\n\n- Steer technical proposals and topics across backend and infrastructure, from the first idea and design discussion to a working solution in production\n\n- Take part in system design and architecture discussions and constructively challenge architectural decisions when you see a better path\n\n- Define and implement secure communication between the trains and the cloud, including mTLS, certificate management and network design\n\n- Work closely with train manufacturers’ engineers to agree on interfaces, protocols and responsibilities on both sides of the integration\n\n- Collaborate with backend developers and other Flix teams so that new services are deployed reliably and are easy to run and monitor\n\n- Make sure the platform is reliable, observable and secure, so that we know what is happening in our systems before our users do\n\nAbout You\n\n- Solid hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and in designing and running cloud environments\n\n- Experience with AWS (preferred). Experience with any other major cloud platform is also welcome\n\n- Strong knowledge of Terraform/Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning and automation\n\n- A solid understanding of systems architecture and system design, and the confidence to challenge architectural decisions with clear arguments\n\n- Good knowledge of networking, including mTLS and SSL/TLS\n\n- Foundational knowledge of security and the ability to apply it in everyday infrastructure decisions\n\n- Proven ability to lead technical proposals and topics across backend and infrastructure, and to bring your stakeholders along with you\n\n- Strong critical thinking, including the ability to analyze a problem, weigh trade-offs and explain your reasoning clearly\n\nNice to have:\n\n- Experience with IoT, automotive, or other remote device integrations\n\n- Experience as a backend engineer or full-stack developer, ideally in the JVM ecosystem\n\n- Familiarity with Linux and virtual machines\n\nCollaboration Model\n\n- Contract type: Cooperation based on a service agreement (B2B/freelance contract), not an employment contract\n\n- Working model: Independent contractor responsible for delivering agreed services and submitting invoices","url":"https://flix.careers/job/8432987002?gh_jid=8432987002"}
