You'll take real ownership, contributing not just to code, but to product and technical decisions that directly impact the business.\n\nIf you enjoy working in a collaborative, self-organized team where engineers have a genuine voice, and you're excited about solving complex problems at scale — this might be the right next step for you.\n\nOur tech stack:\n\nBackend development: Java, Spring / Spring Boot, Kafka\nDatabases: MongoDB (DocumentDB), MySQL / Postgres (RDS), Redis (Elasticache)\nCloud services: AWS, S3\nDevOps / Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab CI, Terraform\nAdditional tools and technologies: Microservices architecture, Event-driven systems, Distributed systems design and implementation\n\nAbout the Role\n\n- You’ll collaborate with a distributed, self-organized, cross-functional team, taking full ownership of the development process and technical decisions\n\n- You’ll have the opportunity to design new products from the ground up while continuously improving existing ones, with room to explore and implement cutting-edge technologies\n\n- Drive the development process in an Agile environment, placing our users at the center of each solution you and your team create\n\n- Lead technical decisions not just within your team, but across teams, improving technical excellence through collaboration and lateral leadership\n\n- Help define and deliver products that optimize the coordination between Flix and Mobility Partners, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual tasks\n\n- Be part of a team building a critical product within the Flix ecosystem—solving complex challenges due to product’s diverse user base and Flix’s global presence\n\nAbout You\n\n- 6+ years of experience as a Software Java and/or Kotlin Engineer, with knowledge of distributed systems, including Spring/Spring Boot, Kafka, MySQL/Postgres, Redis, MongoDB and S3\n\n- Willingness to work with both Java (for existing products) and Kotlin (for new ones)\n\n- Experience in making architectural decisions, and writing clean, performant, well-tested code\n\n- Autonomy and ownership in solving technical challenges, as well as strong communication skills when working with a distributed team\n\n- A strong product mindset, with a passion for user experience and a data-driven approach to decision-making\n\n- Experience in coding with AI\n\n- Fluent in English (upper-intermediate or higher)\n\nNice-to-haves:\n\n- Experience with DevOps and infrastructure: Kubernetes, Docker, Gitlab CI, AWS, Terraform\n\n- Familiarity with data engineering (ETL, Snowflake)\n\n- Ability to teach people, share knowledge and experience, explain complex things in plain language, mentor, and provide constructive feedback\n\nWe recognize that everyone carries a unique set of valuable skills and experiences.
