That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.\n\nWhat you’ll do\n\nResponsibilities\n\n- Design, build, and operate critical tier-0 backend services that must achieve 99.99%+ availability and handle security-sensitive data.\n\n- Responsible for improving developer tooling.\n\n- Design and implement robust, scalable infrastructure, participate in an on-call rotation, and collaborate with engineering teams across the company to plan and safely execute changes in production.\n\n- Set up and operate infrastructure that participates in decentralized distributed systems, including creating deploy pipelines for artifacts.\n\n- Build and harden custom Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) used to bootstrap EC2 instances, and implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for these systems.\n\n- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.\n\n- Deliver value through a strong collaborative approach with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe.\n\nWho you are\n\nMinimum requirements\n\nMust have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a related field, plus three (3) years of software engineering or related experience.\n\nMust have three (3) years of experience in each of the following:\n\n- Cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure;\n\n- Go, Python or Java;\n\n- Developing, maintaining and debugging distributed systems;\n\n- Linux OS;\n\n- Metrics, alarms and dashboards;\n\n- NoSQL databases; and\n\n- Handling critical incidents for production systems.\n\nSalary: $156,800 - $235,200/yr\n\nThis salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.\n\n40 hrs/week\n\n50% Telecommuting permitted.\n\nMultiple Positions Available.\n\nAdditional benefits for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and wellness stipends.
